Makabagong Pualas, June 12, 2024 —Today, the Municipality of Makabagong Pualas celebrated the 126th Philippine Independence Day with a series of meaningful activities. Spearheaded by Mayor Amanoden “Tenney” Ducol and Municipal Vice Mayor Dialalodin Maruhom, the event featured a parade of flags carried by the Men in Uniform from the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Philippine Army. The entire gymnasium was filled with pride and honour as members of the community proudly hoisted the Philippine flag. Messages of support were delivered by the PNP, Philippine Army, the Municipal Vice Mayor, and various line agencies, emphasizing the significance of this day and the importance of unity.
One highlight of the celebration was the ceremonial freeing of doves, symbolizing the freedom and hope of all Filipinos. Local leaders reminded everyone of the struggles and sacrifices of our forefathers who fought for the freedom we enjoy today. They emphasized the importance of remembering our history and passing its significance to younger generations.
Special recognition was given to stakeholders and government agencies for their dedication and service. Mayor Tenney expressed his heartfelt thanks to all the Sangguniang Bayan Members and Barangay Chairmen for their strong commitment to building a prosperous future for Makabagong Pualas, where every resident can reach their full potential.
